Sparks. Found Mary J Birdsong in census of 1920, age 44, listed as birthplace Illinois, race white, state Oklahoma (her son, Odis, Otis Sparks is my father who was born in Indian Territory), Creek County, Mounds Township, page 15B of census Roll T625_1459. I "think" this is my grandmother. Found only J F Sparks in 1920 Census, age 43, birthplace Georgia, race white, state Oklahoma, County Grady, Tabler Township, page 15A of census Roll T625_1462..his age could fit and possibly might be my grandfather J or Jay Sparks. My grandparents both lived in Snelling, CA, Merced County when they died and are buried in Snelling Cemetery. She was part Indian I was always told...her father was Indian from either North Carolina or Tennessee having crossed the mountains during a snow storm and couldn't make it back then married the woman who was my grandmother's mother.
