I've found info in a book Early Pickens Co History that listed Starling T. Savage as being a Methodist-Episcopal minister. He died around 1860. His son Abner died of Tyhpoid Fever near Mobile during Civil War (1862) and was buried there. Abner was in the artillery unit from Pickens Co. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Oh by the way, are you related to Marvin Harper of Northport?
