Would anyone have any information about the the James David Hopper family who lived in Pickens Co. - purchased 309 acres at 18S- 15W- Sec.10 and are shown on the 1870 census, page 5, at Dwelling # 33 - Providence Post Office - Henry's Precinct...? James David Hopper served in Capt. Lockett's Home Guard for Pickens Co. during the civil war. Question is whether his first wife may have died while in Pickens County and is perhaps buried there. Wife on 1870 Census is shown as "G.J." - yet later wife is Sara Frances (Huff) and 3rd wife after July 1880 is Martha. I am trying to sort out the children of James David Hopper.
