    1. [ALPICKEN] Census Records Question
    2. Someone please explain... I have an ancestor, Jepthah F. Randall, who lived in Pickens Co, AL and was a Methodist minister with the North Alabama Conference until his death in 1900. He married and had 8 children, all born in Pickens Co between 1862-1885. I cannot find Jepthah listed on either 1870 or 1880 census. Yes, I have tried every variation of Randall/Randle/Randolph,/Reynolds, etc known to man. I have checked the whole state of Alabama via soundex. I could see where he was missed on one census but 2? I also have records where he performed marriages in Pickens Co between 1868-1876. Jepthah died only a few months prior to the 1900 census but I found his youngest daughter, Mary, living in the hh of cousins (she was the only surviving family member). Does anyone out there know why he may have been missed on 2 census? Please help! I don't want to check these census again... Thanks for any help, Teresa
