It is very likely that the James Blalock could be the same. The Blalock family along with the Garner family all moved to Tishomingo Co. probably in the early 50's and settled in the Blackland area of what is now Prentiss Co. southwest of Booneville. I am in the process of wading through the 1860 Tish. census now and will let you know if I run across James. Are you related? Milton
