I'm working on a book about Pickens County residents who served in the Civil War. That includes those residents who moved away from Pickens County before the war started. That is my interest in James, and whether he is the same as James E. Here is what I tentatively have on James E.: BLALOCK, James E. Served in the 23rd Miss. Inf. Regt. Company E “Kossuth Volunteers” and 26th Miss. Inf. Companies D & E, all companies raised in Tishomingo County, Miss. Possibly the James Blalock who was living in Pickens County in 1850, age 19, and who later moved to Tishomingo County.
