Charles, I have a John Wesley Savage in my line, He married Melvina Sturdivant in 1855 in Tuscaloosa Co. Ala. Her father was a Uncle to my gg grandmother Sarah Sturdivant Chism, a lot of this family was in Pickens Co. some related families would be Hancock, Wheat, Gazaway, Nelson, Holloway, Rackley, Johnson, Embry, Hamlin, Brown, The 1860 Tuscaloosa Co. census has John Savage, Melvina, and two children Emma E. 4 yrs. and William T. 2 Yrs.
