The deadline for registering for the Van Zandt County Genealogical Society annual fall seminar has been extended to September 1. The all day seminar will take place on Saturday, September 6 at the Garden Valley Golf Resort, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. John Sellers of Hopkins County will be the special guest speaker and his topics will be "Women, The Gender You Can't Do Without In Your Research," "History's Role in Genealogical Pursuits," "With or Without a Will, There is a Way," and "What Are They Saying About Your Family in the Newspapers." The fee is $25 and includes a continental breakfast and lunch provided by the Garden Valley Golf Resort. To Register, send a check or money order to the Van Zandt County Genealogical Society, P.O.
