White, who is on 91 b of the 1850 census, coming from Talbot Co., Ga. to Pickens Co., Ala. John W. White, and some of his siblings (sister Lyddia/Lydia A. Pruitt of page 125 A 1850 census, and sister Nancy Catherine White md. Richard Keating in Talbot Co., Ga.) moved on to Copiah Co., Ms where they are on the 1870 and 1880 census of Copiah Co., Ms. I am pretty sure Mary is their mother, aged 50 in 1850 census-and that the use of Ellender and Ellen . in this family is a repeat and must signify perhaps a family name. Rev. John W. White wife was Malissa Bridges-she died in 1862 in Pickens Co., Ala. perhaps when the school John W. White was a teacher at burned to the ground during the civil war. Several of John W. White's children, as well as he himself, were blind.
