Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VS.2ADE/147.448.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Good to hear from you. If you're looking for Bridgers in Pickens Co. from NC there were only a handful. Robert and Silas were definitely from SC. There is a Edwin Bridges in the 1860 census from NC; Kedmin (Edmin/Edmund?) Bridgers in the 1850 census from NC. My people, William F. & John W. are Bridgers. Terrible name to have...gets messed up even now. I've even seen it spelled correctly in the census and misspelled Bridges in the index. Are you looking for Bridgers or Bridges? They are 2 totally different lines though they are often confused. There are some informative posts about the name in the Bridger surname folder @ ancestry.com. Let me which line you are looking for. If it's Bridgers lets work together.
