Is that the way this works ? my E-mail address is lavonnealle@webtv.net My lydia Dearman married Thomas or William Creekman we have never been able to figure out which one was her husband and which was her son but she had a daughter named Elizabeth who married Charles C. Stibbens in 1849 Anderson County Texas Elizabeth was bornJuly 22, 1820 -Died; Sept. 1, 1900 She is buried in the St. Paul catholic churchyard in Collin Co. Texas they are my Gt. Gt. Grandparents the Parents of 11 children theres alot of mixed opinions of where she was born.some say Ky. some say Ill. and I think Arkansas the 1850 census is so light you can't say for sure. 1900 census is good and does say Akansas which is the one I go by. That does not mean I am right. childrens names; Francis Mary Louisa Alfred Adeline George Washington ( my Gt. Grdf; Charles the baby do not know the others, probably died as babies.Alfred and Louisa may have been twins_ same age on 1850 census. Ferguson being buried at SPRING HILL CEMETERY,6 miles NE of Pickensville, Al. that is apparently the one you are searching for.The headstone inscription it: FERGUSON, James H. from Chester District, SC. 5/8/1780 1/19/1856 According to other information James H. married Nancy Lewis in SC. The following children are listed for James H.and Nancy: Sarah Abraham L. Mary David M. Elijah Green Henderson Nancy Lewis died in 1816 and James H. married Elizabeth Noland James H. moved to the Spring Hill Community in Pickens County in 1834. The following children are listed for James H. and Elizabeth. I am grateful for any assistance/help. 1. Alexander J. Allen, born 1849, Pickens Co, Al, died October 1930, Mobile, AL 2. Nancy Ann (Pratt) Allen, born 1846, Morgan Co, AL, died March 1910, Pickens Co, AL. (Some reports say these two are buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery and others report Reform. These are my grandparents and I wish to know for sure where they are buried.) 3. Zachariah A. Hildreth, born Sept 20, 1880, Pickens Co, AL, murdered Sept 06, 1932, Mobile, AL. There are a lot of people mentioned in the book but mostly early settlers that were in Politics, or Proffesional's Like Doctors or Lawyers. It also centers around people that got killed and the bad guys that done the killing. There is no mention of your man, George W. Allen in this paticular book. Also there is no mention of this man in "Deaths, Marriages and Confederate Soldiers Pickens Co. Al. 1841 - 1931 By Betty Junkin. I have loaned out my other book (the one put out by the PC Genealogical Society) to my Niece Glenda Harper Strange <harperstrange@aol.com> write her and ask her to look it up for you and she will be glad to Good Luck Ray

This is a much samller book that was originally published in Carrollton, Al 1856 and reprinted in 1994 and is available through Amazon.com. This book covers a time frame from 1819 through about 1843 Ray Harper
