I believe I have found quite a lot about your Thomas Jefferson Butler's family. "Jeff's parents were James, born South Carolina in 1800 & Elizabeth Shaw b. 1802 born ?. They are buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery on highway 14 between Pickensville and the Mississippi State Line. James was born ? died 1859 (age 67 years) Elizabeth was born ? died 3/11/1859 (age 57 years) They settled in Yalabuska County, MS. They Had 2 sons born in MS: Robert B. born 1832, and Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" born in 1840. Thomas married Mary A. Palmer, their children were: Andrew, Georgia, Delma, James B., Lona, and Florence. According to my information Thomas "Jeff" drowned in 1902, Mary died in 1901. They are buried at Crossroads Cemetery west of Carrollton with other family members. I will send additional Information on the family as soon as I can sort it out.
