They also has two other sisters, Ruby and Donna. I grew up in California so I didn't know my Aunts, but I do know that my mother took a trip to visit my late sister, Bonnie, when she lived in Atlanta and they went to see Cordie who still lived in Alabama.. I remember once when I was little that my mother was looking at a picture of your mother and she told me about her sister marrying a man named Walter T. Black and that they had moved away. I had that picture for years, but I'm afraid that I lost it along the way. I'm sorry that I don't know about James Hutchens, but I wish you well in your search. I am also a descendant of Joseph Larkin Rogers. I am searching for documentation to connect Joseph Larkin Rogers to James. I will research your list of publications. Do you know of a Will for James? I am a descendant of Joseph's son Larkin who moved to Texas. I was born in Houston and now live in Tennessee. I have visited the Union Methodist cemetery in Nettleton, Lee County, TN. James' grave has a recently placed grave marker that indicates his service in the Virginia Militia. The DAR Mississippi Chapter has James' grave on their website. It says the grave marker was placed there by the Simpson family. Do you have any information on the Simpson family? I would like to contact them seeking help connecting James to Joseph Larkin. I have many hours of research on James Rodgers including many hours in the Virginia State Library and Archives, and several county courthouses in Tennessee & Mississippi. My ancestry.com username is airbus5985. Please feel free to send a guest request. There are many documents from the Virginia State Library and Archives. My email address is airbus5985@gmail.com. I was in Reform last week attending the funeral of my uncle, Rev. I undertand the surrounding land was bought by a hunt club and they keep it locked. My Uncle who just died was able to get information from someone years ago which allowed us to access the cemetery using a combination but the next time we tried to go there the lock had been changed and we no longer had info on how to get in. Do you know how to access the cemetery???? in the event we should be in the area again anytime soon. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [ALPICKEN] Fwd: Municipal Cemetery List in Yorkville/Ethelsville Area
    2.   I checked my copy of the "Cemeteries, Pickens County, Alabama, 1983".  For Ethelsville, it states there are "2 cemeteries, old and new" but it does not have anyone by the name of Mellown listed.  The index for the book does show a number of Dowdle burials.  Let me know if you would like more information on those.
