Sims in North Perry and what became Hale County in that same time frame, unfortunately I don't know his parents either, except that the census says they were from Georgia. Do you know any siblings or anything else? My William W. Sims was born Feb. 7 1809 in GA, married Susannah Pool in Perry County Sept 26 1833 and they had the following children: Emily Jane Martha Elizabeth Wilkins Washington Mary Arrenia William Henry Any of this sound related? This is a line that I have not done a lot of work on yet.
