    1. [ALPERRY] Yeager/Awtrey marriage
    2. I am hoping maybe some of you have run across a Yeager/Awtrey marriage in the course of your research. Awtrey name has been spelled a number of ways Autrey/Autry/Awtrey even Ortree and Awtroy on census. Yeager has been spelled differently through the years also, Jager/Yager/Yeager. I have a copy of a letter written by J.H. Awtrey dated 1 July 1939 which indicates children of Cornelius Awtrey, born about 1770 in NC and died in Perry County, AL in 1847. It lists 12 sons and 4 daughters. Lists names of all sons except for one although it does not show names of their wives. The writer either did not know or could not remember the names of the daughters buts lists them as Mrs. Downing and Mrs. Meharg of Calhoun County, AL; Mrs. Yeager of Perry County, AL; and Mrs. Griffin. I have identified three of the daughters but for the life of me cannot find info on Mrs. Yeager. Some say her name was Elizabeth born about 1811 but I know so very little about my Awtrey line, I have no clue where to start or even when she was born. I would appreciate any help or clues. Thanks.
