My great-grandmother, Eliza Farrior Jones Kersh, b 1837 in Perry Co, was the daughter of John Calhoun Jones and Mary (believed to be) Reid, who died before 1844 in Perry. The Jones family, which came to Perry from Tenn but probably originated in NC, intermarried with the Lovelady family in Perry also - John C's sister Wealthy Ann Jones married Jesse W. Lovelady. Maybe between us we have some of the pieces to this puzzle.
