Kim...this is wonderful! Do you show anything about the 'Grants Creek Baptist Church - Fosters, Tuscaloosa, AL'? My families were DEESE/DEES/DEAS and HAMAKER's they supposedly built it too How bout these names: HOLLEY, John Wiley from Perry County MILLER, Alice Ann from whose father was Abraham MILLER Cole (he dropped the Cole name) married to LaCOSTE, Mary Frances they were the ones that started the MILLER POTTERY there in Perry county..that's supposedly still alive and thriving pottery business. Can't seem to get in touch with any of the cousins who still live there. Cleburne County, AL or near there: COPELAND, William Warren married to BAUGHN, Susan E COPELAND, James Madison, married to WHITE, Lula MESSER, Burrell S, married to KENT, Clementine (father KENT, Ed mother LYLER, Elizabeth) I know this is alot.....but thought I'd list who I had. Most of my whole family is from AL/GA area. on BOTH sides. Go figure! Thanks so much for your time and generous offer! Barb Dalton, GJ, CO [email protected]
Hi Barb, I have a Grant's Creek connection too. My gggggg grandfather James Foster was a founder, along with several others that included some of his brothers and his mother. I have a picture of James Foster's grave at Grant's Creek up on my website (http://www.perigee.net/~mlatour). Unfortunately it's not the best picture, but hopefully one day I'll get back there to take a few more pictures.
