Hello Cathy, I have researched the land records extensively at the Perry County courthouse. Have found all the records I needed indexed with one rare exception as noted below. I have used the direct and indirect indexes provided for us in the "center" room of the Probate Clerk's office. Have you seen the indexes of deeds in the "back" room? If not, check the very old indexes on shelves on the wall to your "far" right. These books are thin and in very bad shape. If you do not find the record you need, check in later direct and indirect indexes. I found a 1872 deed recorded 30 years later in 1903! Let me know if I can help you further.
