Hi, John, I am a direct descendant of the Tubb family of Perry Co. My g grandmother was "a" Mary Elizabeth Tubb although not the one you are seeking. I do have a Richard Tubb, Jr. b 21 Jun 1799 in Pendleton Dist., SC m to Nancy Underwood 12 Apr 1821 in Perry Co. This Richard is my 1st cousin 6 times removed. The only child I have for them in my database is George M. Tubb b 30 Aug 1834. I'm sure there were others. Faye, All the info I have on the Tubb side came from my daughter who found it at Ancestry.com a couple of years ago. It appears that we are talking about the same Richard and Nancy Tubb. Richard Tubb b. 22 June 1799 (you had 21 June) in Pendleton District, SC, d. 1 Sep 1842. Nancy Underwood b. 28 Sep 1804, place unk, d. 14 Apr 1858 in Perry Co. Ala. Both are buried in the cemetery at Hopewell Baptist Church in Perry Co. Ala. This is for sure.
