The next meeting of the Autauga Genealogical Society is Sunday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prattville Library. Dr. Kathryn H. Braund, Professor of History at Auburn University and member of the Alabama Humanities Foundation Speaker in the House Program, will speak on "William Bartram & Alabama: Human History and Natural History". She will highlight Alabama's natural and human past using slides of Bartram's botanical drawings. She also incorporates portraits of eighteenth-century Creeks, sketches of Creek buildings and town lay-outs, and other kinds of documents and maps. You do not have to be a member of the Society to attend. Visitors are always welcome. We regret that we are unable to mail or post program content to those unable to attend the meetings.
