Surnames: Tubb Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JU.2ADI/484.1.2 Message Board Post: I have a copy of papers written by Miriam Jones Springfield,who is a direct descendent of John Tubb through the Jeptha that it speaks of in this will.She found this will recorded in Monroe Co.Courthouse,Aberdeen ,Miss [Will book #1-pages #' 137-139. ] The settling of his will stayed in Probate court until the Feburary term,1855.[John had died in 1839.] Seems as if the daughter ,Malinda Tubb Askew,who had stayed in Tennessee when the other part of the family came down to claim her part of the estate.She wound up receiving $300.instead of the $5.left her in the will. Mrs.Springfield gave her writings to the Monroe Co.Historical Society. [email protected]
