This township and range is where my gggfather Jeremiah F. Johnson married Harriet Newman in 1843, so we suspect these families were related since these same surnames are found wherever they go - Shackelford, Barron, Boyd, Patton, Coleman, Newman, Phillips, Reid, these are the most common spellings of the names, but we've encountered several variations.
