Clara Richards Thomas was an Elder at the Government St Presbyterian Church in Mobile. Was also in the Cotton business with his home in the Springhill area. His brother-in-law, John<>James Blair, was his neighbor and good friend. That is why many of his children had the Blair middle name and same in the Blair children being McMillan. >After death of Louisa m. Elizabeth James of Scotland and had another daughter Elizabeth that m. Chauncey Drummond, husband of deceased half sister, Emma Ray. >The senoir Thomas had two brothers that came from Scot a few years after his arrival and stayed with Thomas in Camden before moving elsewhere. One was Anthony, I believe went to Boise Idaho and David that went first to Knoxville TN then to Wilcox Co AL (leaving a son Thomas B. in Knoxville). It could be that Thomas married a Fanny Anderson in Knoxville, but have not proved as of yet. Thomas' parents were Robert McMillian and Elizabeth Kennedy of Scotland. Several of Thomas' Kennedy cousins also came to Camden. Two married in to the Dobey family (sisters). Not sure if any removed to Mobile with him. > >If anyone has additional info on this family, please email me at southerncomfort1@msn.com > >Mary Gordon Smith
