Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JU.2ADI/551.1 Message Board Post: Can this son be Robert Gray? He is my great, great grandfather. Do ya have any other info? Did Robert Gray reside in Perry Co. during this time? I have him born in Alabama in 1837 and dying in Fulton, Alabama in 1902, where he is buried. He served in Jeff Davis Artillery Unit our of Selma, Al. during Civil War and wounded in the Battle of Fredricksberg and 'recovering in hospital in Uniontown'. I loose him until 1882 where he marries 'Sallie Belle Hall' in Shiloh (Marengo County) Alabama. He has his family there in Shiloh, my great grandfather-William Alexander-born in 1883. Robert Gray then applies for his Civil War pension in 1897 where he was in Thomasville (Clarke Co.) Alabama. He dies (and is buried) in Fulton, Al. (also Clarke Co.) and his wife again applies for his Civil War pension. Any other info? Thanks, Debbie Clarke Hollingsworth in Mobile, Al. PS-Did you ever find any of the writings of Roberta Clarke Ruffin or the 'Woodlawn' , the house she was born in Petersberg, Virginia/
