Surnames: Autrey Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JU.2ADI/90.1 Message Board Post: I live in NC and I have traced the Autrey's from England to NC, this would be Absalom Autrey and the town they lived in named Autreyville, NC. He and Elizabeth had seven sonss, and all but one dropped the E out of their name. I have not yet found which one moved to western NC, but since finding out about dropping the E, I have narrowed it down to one, but due to fires and records being lost I'm having a hard time tying it all together. If anyone could help I would appriciate it.
