Jill McKenna posted a query on 2/19/99 on FTM's Howse GenForum that she was looking for the parents of Caroline Hand Howze who married John H. Ogburn (a doctor). Jill said they had a child Eugenia Elizabeth Ogburn, b. ABT 1850 Clark Co., MS. As you can see from my posting, Jill was talking about the same person as my Rebecca Caroline Howze. However, as you can see I don't have a Martha (is Hand her maiden name?) Howze. If my Rebecca had a middle name of Hand, perhaps taken from her mother's maiden name, then Martha Hand may have been a cousin who Samuel Howze. I'm sorry I can help more but I think there is a Hand family involved in my Rebecca's ancestry. Please keep me in mind if you learn more and I'll do the same for you.
