    3. While not a Pitts researcher, I seem to always come across them in my research, particularly in Uniontown. From Some Early Alabama Churches by Wilson, Woodyerd, and Busby First Presbyterian Church of Uniontown was formed in December 1848 with eight members, one being Margaret M. Pitts. From Holy Cross Episcopal Church Cemetery in Uniontown, Perry County, AL Dr. David Samuel Pitts 1875-1903 Mattie L. Pitts, 1850-1887 William Lee Pitts, 1849-1910 Eliza V.D. Pitts, died 1850 aged 26 (All buried next to each other) Uniontown Cemetery - Waters Road The southern fourth of the cemetery has a section with quite a few Pitts. For Amy who has a Morgan-Pitts connection, there are also Morgans in this cemetery. It was raining the day I was there and I only wrote down surnames as I was searching for my Clarkes. Some of the Morgan's are listed on Dr. Judy's cemetery page. You can link to it from the Perry County web page. www.rootsweb.com/~alperry Kim in AL CLARKE, BLAKE, PARNELL/PYRNELLE, RUFFIN
