Nanette, I believe Stephen Tadlock's father was Joshua Tadlock and his mother was Mary MNU Tadlock. At present it appears that Wylie Tadlock is a half brother to Stephen Tadlock. I would like your info on Adolphus Tadlock and Vernon Worrell Tadlock. I haven't been able to find them in 1930 census as yet (don't know where they lived in 1930, census is not indexed and they aren't in Perryville as in previous census). I don't have any of the info on his marriage--dates etc. nor do I have the names and info on their children. I know of May and by census I see there was another daughter but I can't read her name very well, maybe Rachel. Do youhave this info?? Also, do you know anything about Ida L. Tadlock. older sister of Mary Ellen (Molly) and Adolphus (Dalphus) other than census records? It appears she lived to adulthood but I don't know who she married IF she married or if she died in young adulthood. Please email me direct. I have a cousin who researches the Dennis line. I asked her about this family and she sent a page from a book about Mary Dennis and Britton Perry. Hope it helps. Joni PS. I can't add the attachment but I will type transcribe it: "(Obituary from Alabama Baptist) Mary Dennis, daughter of John Dennis and sister of Rev. John Dennis, died in Perry County, Alabama, August 15, 1859 at the age of 78 years. Mary Dennis married Britton Perry, first son of John and Sally Fariel Perry. The will of Britton Perry, recorded in Perry County, Alabama, Will Book A, Page 44, which will give further identification of some members of the Dennis Family follows: ' To son John, a horse, bridle and saddle; to sons Matthias, Oliver, William Dennis, and Benjamin F., a horse, bridle and saddle as they come of age, unless they prove refractory and leave their mother. Daughters Betsy, Eleanor, Sally, Rececca, Julia, and Martha, each a feather bed and furniture when each marries, as comes of age. Wife Mary, Executor. Signed, John Perry - 12 August, 1831. Witnesses, A. G. McGraw, George Everett and Matthias Dennis. Note the recurrence of the family name, Matthias Dennis, as in the Will of Joseph Dennis, and the sketch of the William Matthias Dennis family of Putnam County, Georgia. A Matthias Dennis married Delilah Britton on September 3, 1829 in Perry County Alabama, and another Matthias Dennis married Partheny Low, November 2, 1815 in Putnam County, Georgia.' " If you would like a copy of the page this is copied from send me your email address and I will forward directly as I can't send through rootsweb. Here's what I had on Mary Dennis and Britton Perry, it's from "The Dennis Family History" by William Dennis. The info is near the bottom of the left collumn.
