Hello, I was talking with a new found cousin last night, and she mentioned that her great-grandmother Sarah Tanner, worked for a family that might have been named Osburn. She remembered the children, Julie and Bobby. Do you have any info regarding this family. She also thought that the mother may have been a nurse and the father a lawyer. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, May 16, 2003 10:47 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ALPERRY] Re: Osburns This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Worrell. At least I am fairly sure that she was the daughter of Wesley J. Worrell. The 1880 Radfordsville Perry County Alabama census lists Gina L. Worlds as the "adopted daughter" of Bill and Polly Osburne. She was 9 in 1880. I haven't found any other references to her. Was she actually Cassie Worrell Osburne???? I just wonder why Cassie would have been listed as Gina L in the 1880 census? Gina L Worlds would have been born in 1871. Billy and Polly had a grand-daughter named Leslie Eugenia born in 1888 (8 years after the 1880 census.) Sounds like one in 1888 Leslie Eugenia might have been named after Gina L?

I am still looking for Wm. Martin Holt, Sr b 1844 Marshal Co., MS, who married Araminta Jane Pounds b 1847 same place. They had daughter (Adeline who m Middleton Jordan), Wm. I pick her up again in 1900 living with Adeline/Middleton and 5 children. I would so appreciate any help anyone could give me because have hit a brick wall for 4-5 years on either one older Martin and the younger Martin before came to Texas and I entered the picture.

Hi Jean, Have you ever ran across a marriage record for a Larkin Kay and Elizabeth Landers in Alabama during the early 1850's or maybe even in 1860? I think it would have been more the 1850's but don't know. I'm not sure where they would have been but it was said that they may have lived in Calhoun Co. in 1855 or so. I have not found them in Benton Co., Ala. in 1850 but Larkin Kay's son from his first wife, Elizabeth Hopkins was living in Benton Co., Ala with his wife in 1850 and he was 19 years old and his name was John T. Kay and his wife was a Marcipa or something like that and she was about 16 years old and they had a baby son. I've looked everywhere I can think of in the 1850 census and can't find Larkin in 1850 but he maybe there right under my nose and I just can't find him. He has an unusual first name and is related to the Kay's from Abbeville and Anderson Co., South Carolina. I need to find Larkin in 1850 and need to find a marriage record for him and his second wife, Elizabeth Landers or a death record for his first wife, Elizabeth Hopkins Kay who was born in 1813 in South Carolina.
