I am trying to locate burial information on my great, great grandmother & her son, my great grandfather, both buried at Falkville City Cemetery. Can someone point me in the right direction? According to the death certificate, filed March 20, 1926, the undertaker for Elizabeth S. Dodson Smith (Oct 7, 1841 - Feb 27, 1926) was H. M. Priest in Albany. Is Priest a person or a funeral home. . .and where is Albany? I can't locate a funeral home by this name. She died in Decatur & her address was given as 219 5th Ave. W., Decatur, AL. The physician's name appears to read Dr. G. Perry, Decatur. She is buried near her son, William A. Dodson (July 28, 1861 - June 11, 1922). On his death cert., filed June 11, 1922, his address is not listed, though I believe it was Falkville (the interstate eventually took his home). No undertaker was listed. The attending physician was J.B. Elliott, MD. I am hoping to find clues in the burial information that will help me identify other members of Elizabeth's family. Also, where do I write to see if a will exists for either of them? Any information/advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
