What are the earliest tax list for Morgan Co? Has anyone published any of them? Can anyone on the list tell me where I might find the bastardy bonds in Morgan Co.? I have asked several in Morgan Co but they don't seem to know to what I am referring. (For those that don't know on the list...when a woman had a child out of wedlock..she was "fined" by the county for helping raise the child...unless she named the father..then they "fined" him. When this took place a bond was set and usually a relative posted the bond for the woman...or the man which ever the case may have been...thru my years of genealogy I have seen an instance where a woman apparently had an affair..her husband refused to "claim" the child and she was put in the bastardy courts.)
