Have you tried Rootsweb.com's WorldConnect search? I pulled up two Sarah DeVAULTs, one born 1821, the other, 1818. A third mentions the David DeVAULT to whom you refer. The spouse (BOGGS) does not match with your Absalom, but perhaps she remarried???? That was a fascinating family history you gave. Thank you for sharing it. The only one I know of is an ancestor who was eaten by an alligator.
