I am sorry I did not catch the query for a lookup in the 1860 census as soon as it came thru. Please DO NOT do lookups in the published books of the Morgan Co AL 1850 & 1860 census. These two books are under copyright laws...at least that is what I have been told..I have never seen either. I am warning you as they were both published by the same person. And it was the 1850 census that several innocent (because they did not send me the info) genealogical members were served and threatened with a lawsuit (the legal letter was published in Morgan Memories at that time) over it being posted to the website. As soon as I got my notification I yanked it from the website a couple years ago. I was told because I transcribed and posted MY work on the 1850 census that I was being searched for to AGAIN file a lawsuit...LOL hope they want to pay my 4 visits to the chiropractor...and want to take on the company that made the disk I used..and the US government for making the info available. If you have the microfilm or a census cd that you are doing lookups that is fine but DO NOT use the published books. Good luck in your search! Kathy
