Hi List, Couple of questions. First does anyone know when the earliest newspapers were printed in Morgan County. My Rogers-Thompson-Strain-Grantland family resided there from 1820 to around 1860. There were 5 members of the Rogers family who died on the same day, 12 April 1849. We don't know what happened. My gggrandmother Caroline Frances Thompson died in 1838 around the Somerville area. Have looked in the cemetery books and have not found her. Her parents were William Thompson and Henrietta Willliams. Related to Robert Thompson whose daughter was married into the Bibb family. Would love to find where the William Thompson's are buried. Have Bible records for both families that I would be happy to share. Any thoughts or assistance would be gratefully appreciated. Edna M.
