Still looking for my ggg grandfather. Was married to Elizabeth Julia (possibly Hodge) Weston. Had three known children with Elizabeth Julia. Moses Riley Weston per Army records was born in 1826 in Morgan county, AL and signed up with the Army at Summitt AL in 1847 to fight in the War with Mexico and died three months later. Nephanny (Neffie, Neffa, Nettie, etc) Weston who was born in AL in 1828 and married John Butler in Blount county , AL and Jasper Newton Weston born in AL and married to Elizabeth Lucinda Fortner, daughter of Squire Fortner. He was born in 1833. This mystery Weston grandfather could have been married before per family stories and had other children. He was I believe dead by 1840 as Elizabeth Julia Weston appears in court records alone building a dam on the Big Spring in Big Spring Valley near Guntersville, AL and per census records she was alone. So , my ggg grandfather must have died (or left) sometime between 1833 and 1840. I just don't know. Elizabeth Julia appears to have had a daughter pre this marriage (marriage record never found) named Lydia (Hog, per Tidwell bible record) she married Calvin Tidwell.
