Hi, I finally found my ancestors. I lost them around 1860 in Tennessee. They didn't show up in Tennesse again til 1900 in Shelby County (City of Memphis), TN. I always wondered where they went. Finally, I found a 1910 TN census record that stated A. J. Tennison was born in Alabama. How wonderful to find them when I used the 1880 soundex for Alabama!! I don't know how long they stayed in Alabama. I would love to learn more. Anyone have any ideas about my next steps in Morgan County, Alabama?
