Edna, Thanks. I have my Ransoms pretty far back (possibly). I know that Hugh Ransom was the son of James M. Ransom, who married Amy Osborne (Wilks) in 1840 in Morgan Co, AL. He was born in 1817, TN. We think he was the son of Joseph Ransom, who was in the 1820 census of Franklin Co, TN; and we think he was the son of Reuben Ransom b.1753, VA and Sally Leeman b.abt 1758. This connection of James M. Ransom to Joseph is not proven. Dan
