May we all find our ancestors through this list >is my fervent desire. > Sincerely, >Winkie CRAWFORD R WinkieFL@aol.com > Winkie, you may discover as I recently learned that your family lived in another county. I had never researched Wilcox County, but then I learned my William's grandson had married in that county, so now I am including WC in my search. There must be records of your g-grandfather. Do you subscribe to the Wilcox, Lowndes and Butler Counties lists? I put my inquiries out on as many lists as I can find. I think you said your family was from S. Carolina. There is a good S. Carolina list, too. Will send you the addresses if you need them. I don't know the sources of the census and marriage records that other researchers have sent me, but I have received much census and marriage info from others which has helped me. I think there are commercial genealogy programs that have the census records and people find info on them. Also, some use the LDS (Mormon) records. LDS is on-line now, but I have had no luck finding info. It's best to go to one of their libraries and use the microfilm on site. I sometimes think my William and Elizabeth were picked up and taken off into space, but I keep putting out notices. Lots of William Robinsons, but I can't find mind. As you wrote, "may we all find our ancestors..." Let me know if I can be of any help. I haven't seen any Murrays in my searches, but then, I wasn't thinking about them. I research many names, among them are: Robinson/Roberson, Sills, Solomon, Wright, Boles, Regan, Sims, Williamson. Best of luck to you...Freda Freda and Ted Noble tnoble@mcn.org
