Listers, Was surprised to find microfilm of Monroe Census for the years, 1910-1920, excerpted from an archived message,Monroe-L list, copied below.***** Has the census for 1830 & 1840 been downloaded to the current list? And hopefully, is there any county or state census available to try and ascertain the name of family members? From other sources have gathered thes facts: My ancestors were in Monroe Co much earlier. Did find an M. CRAWFORD on the 1940 census, whom I believe to be my g-g-gfather, Mahalaleel CRAWFORD. He marr Sarah FINKLEA in 1845 in Monroe Co & was found in 1850 US census, Walton Co, FL. Mahalaleel CRAWFORD b. abt 1802 SC marr (1)Mary MACE b abt 1802 SC marr (2) ? [Note: Mahabel CRAWFORD m Martha Wilson 7 Feb 1837] marr (3) Sarah FINKLEA b 1813 GA [Marr Mahalahed 19 Nov 1845, Monroe] Known children: Willis Crawford b 1825 SC, marr Rebecca Murray 24 Dec 1846 + Rebecca Murray b abt 1803 AL Ann Crawford b 1827 SC marr James Edward LINDSEY, Monroe/Montgomer Co? 3. John Crawford b 1832 NC 4. William Crawford b 1834 AL Would really like to hear from any descendants of this family or anyone who has knowledge of this family from other records.
