And hopefully, is there any county or state census available to try and ascertain the name of family members? From other sources have gathered thes facts: My ancestors were in Monroe Co much earlier. Did find an M. CRAWFORD on the 1940 census, whom I believe to be my g-g-gfather, Mahalaleel CRAWFORD. He marr Sarah FINKLEA in 1845 in Monroe Co & was found in 1850 US census, Walton Co, FL. [Note: Mahabel CRAWFORD m Martha Wilson 7 Feb 1837] marr (3) Sarah FINKLEA b 1813 GA [Marr Mahalahed 19 Nov 1845, Monroe] Known children: Willis Crawford b 1825 SC, marr Rebecca Murray 24 Dec 1846 + Rebecca Murray b abt 1803 AL Ann Crawford b 1827 SC marr James Edward LINDSEY, Monroe/Montgomer Co? 3.
