I have a Index of Alabama Wills 1807-1870 ( I have with the help of a friend put a copy in the probate office for use by the public searching for wills) and I find no Eliab Wootan, I will be in the courthouse recodsroom later this week, I will see what my be there. The courthouse burned at one point and there are no marriage records before 1833 so the same may be true of wills.. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kristy Williams <kdwiam@email.msn.com> To: <ALMONROE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, November 14, 1999 9:05 AM Subject: [ALMONROE-L] Monroe Wills : Is there anyone with access to Monroe County Wills? I'm looking for an Eliab : Wootan who died after 1830. He shows up on the 1830 Monroe County Census and : we think he would have been around 70 at the time. We also know that he : purchased land there in 1820. So, I would estimate that he died sometime : between 1830 and 1840. Probably closer to 1830. Any help would be : appreciated. : : Kristy Williams : : : : : ==== ALMONROE Mailing List ==== : **** The Monroe County Mailing list is now archived : at http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ALMONROE-L : :
