SUMMARY: The probate judge of each county is required to keep an up-to-date docket book in his office (see Ala. Code, 12-13-41 [1975]). The series records information about each case brought before the probate court. Each volume includes the date of the issue and return of all process (legal documents), the day set for the hearing, the kind of notice ordered, the returns of the sheriff, and other entries as may be necessary to show the status of all proceedings pending in the court.
