Hi...I am searching for info about my gggrandfather John "Bud" Jones. John married Elizabeth Riley. They lived in Starlington, Al. Their daughter Callie Jones was born in 1859, married Sherrod Sims, Jr. The Sims lived in the Jones Mill (now Frisco City) and Excel, Al., communities. Reading inquiries on the Monroe County Query Forum page last night, I found info that leads me to think that perhaps (a big PERHAPS) that Elizabeth Riley was the sister or aunt of Eliza "Mamie" Alabama Riley, b. 24 December 1851. Mamie's sister Willis Riley married William P. Jones. Were William and John Bud Jones brothers? Was John "Bud" Jones the father of Mrs. L. E. (Ellen) Foxworth? Eliza Boyles has been suggested as the name of Mamie's mother. Was this Eliza Boyles (Boles) the daughter of Elijah Boles whose brother Issac Boles had a son named Alabama Boles? An Eliza Boles, daughter of Issac Boles, is the sister of my great-grandmother Amanda Boles who married David Jackon Regan. If anyone recognizes any of these names, I would like to hear from you.
