    3. Dear Friends, Though it be the end of the Century, and one year before the next millennium, I have at last had a few moments to work on updating Along the Old Federal Road. Barring the revenge of the night in the am, I plan on working on it some tomorrow morning as well. Max sent wonderful maps of Middleton's Tavern and other sites; they should be available by tomorrow evening or so. I received the all 52 vols. of Southern Historical Society Papers (CD) as an anniversary present; as a friend observed, the way to a woman's heart is through a CD. <gg> So, in addition to the SHSP, I have also received a copy of Wm. Stanley Hoole's "A Historical Sketch of the Thirty-Sixth Alabama INfantry Regiment, 1862-1865." (I know it should be underlined but that is not available in plain text ;-) ). Thus, I plan to be adding more historical information on the Unit's history within the next few weeks. In addition, I'm going to B'ham next Sat. and plan to stop at ADAH in the pm and copy all the Home Guard records for Monroe & Conecuh Co. so this information will be added as well. Additional transcriptions of the remaining muster rolls are in progress and should be uploaded soon. I must away to prepare for supper guests and a killer game of the Millennium Edition of Trivia Pursuit with friends. A safe evening to all and hopes for a eventful new Century of researching!
