1. [ALMONROE-L] Members of 33rd Ala Vol
2. If you have a member of the 33rd Ala Volunteers who were killed in the Cleveland, TN train wreck on Nov. 4, 1862, I would like a short military biography of that soldier. I am attempting to provide a tribute to each soldier listed on the monument at the Fort Hill Cemetery near Cleveland, TN. There were 17 members of this unit who died when the train derailed. Newspaper clippings and a photo of the marker can be seen at the web site. I still need information on 13 soldiers to complete this task. Some of these were from the Daleville area, but I haven't found a mailing list for Coffee County where I believe Daleville was located. Please check the names to see if you have a family member listed on the monument. In Memory of the Seventeen - 33rd Ala Vol Mildred Stinson Brown Gatesville, TX Butler County, Alabama - ALGenWeb Site http://geocities.yahoo.com/BourbonStreet/Canal/8924 Families of Butler County, Alabama http://www.geocities.com/heartland/ranch/5448 Kenneth Brown's Genealogy Page http://www.geocities.com/heartland/estates/7696 Courthouses of Texas http://www.geocities.com/capitolhill/senate/7917 New Web Sites: In Memory of The Seventeen - 33rd Ala Inf: Memorial to the seventeen members of the 33rd Ala Vol who were killed Nov. 4, 1862 in a train wreck near Cleveland, TN.
