Hi All, I am looking for anyone that is researching the BROOKS family that lived in the Old Texas area of Monroe County. My connection is with a family member that lived and was raised with the Brooks family. All I have is this: Jackson G. Booker was orphaned and went to live with a Brooks family in Old Texas. Belive that it was Sam Brooks and his wife M.A. Brooks raised Jackson along with their family. It is suspected that Sam Brooks also had a son named Sam Brooks. I think that the Sam Brooks I am looking for was enlisted with Company A 4th.AL.Cal. If you know of this family and could enlighten me on anything please respond.
