    1. [ALMONROE-L] History of 36th Ala. & Clayton's Brigade available

    3. Dear Friends, I have just uploaded the initial transcription of the DuBose manuscript history of Clayton's Brigade. This brigade included the 36th, 38th, 18th, 32d and 58th Alabama infantry regiments. The Alabama Archives describes the DuBose manuscripts: “John Witherspoon DuBose and Joel DuBose wrote manuscripts in the early 1900s on many regiments using official records and sometimes first-hand accounts. None of these were published and are in the original hand written form.” Well, albeit a century later, this wonderful history is now available for review. I am still missing a few pages but the wonderful folks at the Alabama Archives are sending them to me. As always, I welcome corrections, observations, and questions. Your Obedient Servant, D. A.
