Hi, I am looking for the parents of my gr-gr-gr-grandfather, John Ross. He was born in AL (according to census records) in 1827. He married Martha Griffin in 1850. He is listed as living next to Hugh & Sarah ROss in the 1850 Monroe CO. Census. They were from SC. I do not think they were his parents--maybe his aunt & uncle. John & Martha's children were all born in Monroe Co.: Sarah Isabella born in 1853. She married Pleasant Aza (Asa) Guthrie Wesley Ross born in 1856 John W. Ross born in 1858 Daniel Ross born in 1864--married Ada Who James W. Ross born in 1864--married Hettie Grace Salter. Martha, Daniel, & Ada are buried in the Midway BC cemetery. John may be buried there, too. There is an unmarked grave near their graves. There is also a marked grave there that is unreadable. Daniel died in Midway. Ada died in Skinnerton. James & Hettie are buried in the Old Town Cemetery north of Evergreen, Conecuh Co. I am trying to find his parents & siblings. I am also interested in info on any other family members.
