well contrary to most peoples belief Natives did not need to be full blood to be on rolls .some of the most remembered Chiefs were not full blood native..The Dawes roll is full of blood quantums of this nature. depending on what way you are using the word "princess" ...actually there were no Indian Princes's.that was white mans word.....some times in some places used in a very ugly manner. If you are using the word relating to the idea she was a chiefs daughter, that still does not mean she was full blood. Some tribal pow wow's today have a new Indian princess each year......they are far from full blood. "genetically pure Indian"..well there are many, but ...... No matter how much Native blood they had, you can see buy this census they were of a tribe, and lived the Native ways. Have never read of a case where a TRIBE in the old days ever distinguished between someone that was full blood and not.....we do today , very very much. pat
