    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: HUGGINS, Bennett, Pugh Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HU.2ADI/1561.2.3 Message Board Post: Mystery Solved! First I received this marriage information from Mary Smith: HUGGINS, Richard, age 23 and BENNETT, Sarah (no age given) applied for license on 4 Jan 1879, married 5 Jan 1879 at Mrs Bennett's res. by W. W. Walker. page 221, volume 1878-1880 W&C The first child of Sallie Huggins was born Oct. 12, 1879. I knew who Richard Huggins was because he is buried at Providence Cemetery in Butler Co. along with some other Huggins family members. Richard T. Huggins, born Dec. 25, 1856--died July 9, 1884 The last child of Sallie Huggins, Addie Huggins English, was born in April of 1884. Then yesterday, I received the death certificate for Sallie Huggins (born 1860, died Feb. 11, 1936 in Monroe Co.). Her husband's name was Richard Huggins. Her mother's name was Adline Bennett. Her father's name was not given. The informant was W.T. English, Sallie's son-in-law, husband of Addie Huggins. This Sallie Huggins is buried at Sowell Old Field Cemetery in Monroe County. I found a photo of her tombstone already on line (thanks to Benard Hendrix). http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/al/monroe/cemeteries/sowell.htm -------------------------- I believe, but can't really prove, that Sallie Bennett Huggins was the daughter of Wm. J. Bennett and Adaline Pugh, daughter of Mastin B. Pugh. Spouse 1: William J. Bennett Spouse 2: Adaline Pugh Marriage Date: 12 Feb 1859 Marriage Place: Butler Co. Performed By: J. P. Surety/Perf.
