I have family documentary that James Sawyer Brooks (My Great Great Grandfather who was married to Ann Knight (Brooks) that states their children as such. *James Alexander Sawyer Brooks (my great grandfather) Bob Brooks George Brooks Edd Brooks Margaret Brooks (Griffin) Fannie Brooks (Matthews) Nancy Brooks(Driver) Sibbie Brooks(Watson) Sallie Brooks(Cotton) *James Alexander Sawyer married Mary Jane Driver Their Children: James Samuel married Martha Griffin John Sawyer married Lavada Booker (my grandparents) William Matthew married Rhoda Allison(this record) Luther married Lula Driver Evander married Lena Tucker Sallie married H. Hines Fannie married Byron Williamson Annie died in early teens Mary and Stiner died in infancy Benjamin Franklin marrried Bell Crawford Also in this record is that Mary Jane Driver's mother was a miss McQueen but first name is unknown. I am pleased to learn that William and Sarah are the parents of James Sawyer who are my GGGgrandparents. I would like to learn more about the children of them. Name Age occupation Value of real estate Born Brooks,James 48 Farmer 1,000 600 Georgia " ,Sarah 34 Georgia " ,Sarah 16 " ,Rebecca 14 All the children were born in Alabama " ,James 13 " ,Francis 11 " ,Siba 9 " ,George 7 " ,Edward 7 " ,William 4 " ,Nancy 3 " ,Beatrice 1 My notes: Rebecca Brooks married John Napolean Hawkins.They moved to Florida & Rebecca had 2 children before she died.They are listed as heirs of James Brooks estate Francis Matthews ran a boarding house in Castleberry Siba went to Ms. to work in cotton mill & married.She had 1 daughter Carlie Watson{Armstrong} George & Edward were twins.They also went to Copiah Co. Ms. to work in the cotton mill.George married Hulda Gunn.She is buried in the cemetery in Wesson,Ms. Edd married M.M. Gunn according to marriage record,but on 1880 census,his wife is shown as Sarena William{went to Texas} Nancy {My Ggrandmother married T.J. Driver,son of Matthew & Elizabeth Temperance McQueen.He was the brother of your Ggrandmother]This made your grandfather my gandfather's double first cousin.
